Teaching Faculty and Communications Consultant at Vinieyoga Academy, Chennai

Aditi has had yoga be a part of her life since childhood due to her mother’s study and practice. As a child, her practical training began with weekly classes in Carnatic classical music (vocal), South India classical dance (Bharatanatyam), and swimming from the age of 5. She formally began her yoga practice in 2002-03 at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram through one-on-one sessions. Since then, she has been a student of yoga in Sri Krishnamacharya’s tradition studying asana, pranayama, mudra, chanting, and philosophy. After more than 7 years of personal practice, she undertook her teacher training on the advice of her teachers Sri Lara Abiesheikh and Rama Chandrasekhar (her mother), both senior yoga therapists and training faculty at our centre. In 2012, she completed both a 500-hour teacher training certification from VHC (Chennai, India) and a post-graduate diploma in yoga from the Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University. Since then, Aditi has led in-person yoga sessions in India, the United States and Canada. She has also been teaching live virtual sessions since 2015, and continues her advanced yoga studies under Vinieyoga Academy.

She teaches sessions on asana, pranayama and yoga practices across different levels of experience and abilities. She has taught restorative classes, yoga for seniors, yoga for fitness, prop / chair yoga, yoga for stress relief, playing with yoga for toddlers (ages 2 to 5), yoga for children (ages 5 to 15), yoga for young adults (ages 15 to 25), and yoga for women (pregnancy yoga, reproductive health, including menstrual regulation), among other specialized offerings.
